You Caught Me Dancing
You Caught Me Dancing (Historical Comedy)

You Caught Me Dancing has only four more performances before it’s gone forever!

Audiences have been raving about Erin Kelley’s picture-perfect portrayal of Katy Leary in Bernard Sabath’s funny and poignant play about a life spent in the service of Mark Twain and his family.

All men possess inside them both a happiness machine and a sorrow machine, and Samuel Clemens knew both so well.  In just under 90 minutes, Katy Leary recounts her tale of all the sorrows and joys she witnessed as one of the few people to really know Samuel Clemens and his family.  For more than 30 years, she was a trusted friend, retainer, confidante and travel companion to the great man, his frail wife and their three daughters.

Whether you’re a fan of fine theater, history or the Mark Twain story, you’ll love this story.  Richly portrayed on a set design by Hannibal’s own Stephen Schisler, You Caught Me Dancing is a magical visit into the past of Hannibal’s best-known alumnus.

Tickets are still available for this Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening performances (at 7:30).  Call the Bluff City Theater box office at 573-719-3226 to reserve yours or book online at www.eventshannibal.com.  Tickets cost just $25 each or buy a 4-ticket Flex-Pass for just $89 and use it for any combination of four tickets to any remaining play in our summer season.
