100 Down…100 To Go!

Help us surpass our goal of 200 subscribers in 2016.  We just passed the halfway point and now we need you to help push us forward.

Subscribers are the life-blood of theater.  By becoming a subscriber you ensure that the high-quality theater programming you have come to expect from Bluff City Theater will carry on.  Theater like last season’s “Andrew Edlin’s Churchill”, the world-premiere of “Unfinished: The Last Fireside Chat”, our sold-out production of Oliver! performed environmentally and our production of “The Heiress” about which St. Louis theater critic Mark Bretz said ” The Heiress, based on the 19th century novel, Washington Square, by Henry James, features stellar performances by a quartet of St. Louis actors who make the 100-mile trek to Mark Twain’s home a fulfilling journey.”

We have a quintet of surprises in store for you with five new plays based around the theme of strong female characters.  Beginning with the light-hearted “The Lady With All The Answers”, based on the life and letters of Ann Landers, then Win Wells’ award-winning play, Gertrude Stein and a Companion followed by Bernard Sabath’s “You Caught Me Dancing”, featuring renowned St. Louis actor Erin Kelley as Katy Leary, the servant, confidant and companion to the Samuel Clemons family for more than 30 years.  Once again we have a stellar summer season planned with the Prince Street Players’ version of Alice in Wonderland featuring a professional cast working alongside 30 local children and youth in a musical adventure of a lifetime.  Finally we offer one of the most thought-provoking plays of our time- “Best of Enemies” based on the real-life friendship that grew between Ann Atwater and C.P. Ellis as they fought on opposite sides of the integration of South Carolina schools in the 1970’s.
