Producing professional theater and maintaining live performances in Hannibal does not come cheaply. Even though our key leadership team is volunteer, we still need to raise over $150,000 every year. Ticket sales account for less than 30% of income and the rest must be made up from donations, corporate sponsorships, fundraising events and charitable grants. As well as our producing activities, we also maintain an active youth program to ensure that local children and youth have access to creative expression on stage.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO SURVIVE!
There are many ways that you can support us but the simplest is to just make a gift right now. As a 501C-3 charity, all donations to BCT are tax-deductible. Donations over $25 each year will automatically receive a tax receipt. Donating is easy-just click on the DONATE button below and make your pledge. Every dollar helps!
JOIN OUR PLANNED GIVING PROGRAM!
Make a really big difference with a regular monthly donation of $5, $10, $25 or $50 online. It’s easy-just sign up once online here and each month, your credit card will be charged he amount you pledge. You can cancel at any time. Planned givers are eligible for thank-you gifts that identify you as a BCT supporter and receive recognition on our donor wall.

Producer’s Circle members are very special people who recognize the value of live theater in Hannibal by making a commitment to provide at least $1,000 in financial support each year. Producer’s Circle members receive two 4-ticket subscriptions in recognition as well as cool thank-you gifts. Each year, we hold one or more invitation-only special events exclusively for members that provides a behind-the-scenes look at theater activities. BECOME A CORPORATE SPONSOR!
Are you a business owner or professional? Put your name in front of thousands of local households when you become a corporate sponsor at Bluff City Theater. Theater goers are well-educated, affluent and respond to corporate leaders who support the community. Sponsorships include General Sponsors, Production Sponsors, Performance Sponsors, YETI Youth Sponsors and Annual Gala Sponsors. Sponsorships start for as little as $250 and come with a menu of recognition and benefits depending on the level. Sponsors are recognized online, on posters, in programs and live from the stage. Larger sponsorships can include tickets to events to distribute to staff and customers or even a custom group performance that can be used as a team-building or customer-recognition event. CONSIDER A LEGACY GIFT
Did you know that you can continue to make a difference even after you’re gone? There are many ways to make a legacy gift to Bluff City Theater including direct bequest, foundation funding or a structured insurance plan. BECOME A BCT VOLUNTEER!
Bluff City Theater is able to hit well above our weight because of the amazing community support we enjoy. Every job done behind the scenes by a volunteer is a dollar we can put on the stage. Volunteering doesn’t require a lot of time-we can work with your schedule and take as much or as little time as you have available. Volunteering is the most hands-on way to get involved with BCT and make a difference.
Some examples of volunteer opportunities are:
- Assistance at performances-ushering, bartending, ticket-taking
- Fundraiser Gala assistance-setup, cleanup, decorations, prize acquisition, serving
- Youth Program Supervision and Chaperoning
- Actor and Directors Hosting- Can you provide housing to a visiting professional for up to 4 weeks?
- Graphics and artwork creation-online, creative, marketing support
- Fundraising assistance- use your contacts in the community to help us raise support
- Audience Development- help build audience through word-of-mouth, telephone support, events
