The Lady With All The Answers kicks off a 2016 Season of Great Theater!

Bluff City Theater has quickly gained a reputation for presenting interesting and innovative works in its intimate space at 212 Broadway in Historic Downtown Hannibal.  And 2016 is no exception!  Five plays built around the theme of strong female characters will have audiences coming back again and again.

An AEA Small Professional Theater, Bluff City Theater concentrates on finding the best actors and directors in the Midwest and giving them the opportunity to shine in works that are lesser-known or deserve to be seen again.

The Lady With All The Answers is no exception.  It pairs the husband and wife team of Lenny Bart and Tricia Bart in a heartwarming and funny biopic about one of America’s most iconic figures as she struggles to find a solution to the crisis in her personal life.

Former Artistic Director of 12 Miles West Theater Company in Rutherford, New Jersey, Lenny Bart is now Executive Director of the Quincy Society of Fine Arts.  Having directed and acted alongside his wife Tricia many times over the years, this is a welcome opportunity to revive their collaborative partnership.

The script, by David Rambo, draws heavily on the letters of Ann Landers which formed the material for her nine best-selling books and columns seen daily by 60 million readers around the world, in a career that spanned five decades.  Audiences will remember many of the letters Landers dealt with over the years, ranging from poignant and heart-wrenching to silly and downright hilarious.
