If you’ve been meaning to see Gertrude Stein and a Companion, we have good news and bad news.  The bad news is that after today, the play will close forever!  The good news is that we still have good seats available for either our 2 p.m. matinee or our 7:30 p.m. evening performance.  But, you must act now to ensure you get to see it.

Like a fine wine, this production gets better with age and last night’s audience saw one of the most moving performances in our history.  Laura Ackermann and Susie Wall are near-perfect in their portrayal of one of the literary world’s most influential partnerships ever.

John Contini’s inspired direction and a spare but beautiful set design by Stephen Schisler allow audiences to slip seamlessly through time and space as we explore the complex and fruitful collaboration between Stein and Alice B. Toklas.  Gertrude Stein and a Companion is 90 minutes that speeds by as audiences are drawn into the poetic prose of Win Well’s award-winning script.

Audiences are raving about this production.  If you haven’t seen it yet, you owe it to yourself to come see why.

Tickets are available online or by calling the box office at 573-719-3226.

This production is made possible through a generous contribution from Dr. Michael and Sharon Bukstein. susiewallhdsht1
